DAY 1

Our flight from Clark Airport to Hong Kong was at 7:00 AM, with an expected arrival time of 9:15 AM. We arrived on time, and the process through immigration and baggage claim went smoothly. Our first agenda was to withdraw cash from the ATM of the Bank of China. We used our GoTyme Card. We didn’t purchase an Octopus Card as we are planning to use the said card in buses, MTR and in all of our transactions here. Also, we picked up our SIM card at the airport booth, which will serve as our internet connection in Hong Kong and Macau. We then proceed to the bus terminal and make our way to our hotel for check-in and drop off our baggage.

Next, we headed to the bus terminal and made our way to Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West for check-in and to drop off our luggage. We will be staying here for the duration of our 6-day trip. The room was clean, with a stunning view from the window. We had requested a smoke-free room upon booking, which was honored. Every day, the housekeeper cleans the room and changes the towels and sheets.

After settling our things, our first attraction was Sky100, and our ticket included a meal from Cafe100. Even after seeing it all over social media, the view still left me in awe. The cityscape was truly majestic, and we took our time enjoying the sights and a delicious meal—it was absolutely worth it.

From there, our next destination is Mong Kok. We checked out Sneaker Street for some shoes and strolled through Ladies Market to see what they have there.

DAY 2

Today’s adventure is all about Disneyland – we’re excited for a fun-filled day at the park! Our ticket includes 3 Disney Premier Access passes, as we are too excited to wait in line. It also comes with a meal voucher, which covers lunch, dinner, and a snack.

Here’s a rundown of the exciting rides we took and the shows we watched during our day at Disneyland:

  • Iron Man Experience
  • Ant Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle!
  • HyperSpace Mountain
  • Lunch: Royal Banquet Hall
  • It’s a small world
  • Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs
  • Frozen Ever After
  • Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars
  • Snack: Ice Cream & Popcorn
  • Theater in the Wild: Festival of The Lion King Adventureland (Show)
  • Jungle River Cruise
  • Dinner: Tahitian Terrace
  • “A Holiday Wish-Come-True” Tree Lighting Ceremony
  • Momentous

Our day at Disneyland was nothing short of amazing. Being there truly felt magical, and every moment exceeded our expectations. As we returned to our hotel, we couldn’t help but feel a warm sense of joy and gratitude – it was an experience we’ll cherish forever.

DAY 3

For this day, we took a scenic bus ride to Ngong Ping Village to explore some of the most iconic sights: the awe-inspiring Tian Tan Buddha, the peaceful Po Lin Monastery, and the charming village itself. For our return, we enjoyed the breathtaking views from the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car – Crystal Cabin. Back in the Tung Chung area, we spent some time shopping at Citygate Outlet before treating ourselves to the famous egg tarts at the Bakehouse, paired perfectly with matcha drinks. Though the store had a bit of a line, it moved quickly, making the wait worthwhile.

After that, we headed to The Peak Tram. Our ticket included a round-trip tram experience, as well as access to the Sky Terrace 428 observation deck, offering stunning panoramic views.

From the peaceful moments in Ngong Ping to the scenic city views on the Peak Tram, it was the perfect mix, making it a day well spent.

DAY 4

We set off on a day trip to Macau, making the most of our free TurboJet ride there and a bus journey back to Hong Kong. Our first stop was the iconic Grand Lisboa Hotel and its vibrant surroundings. We then headed to Senado Square, where we admired the historic Ruins of St. Paul’s Church. Afterward, we explored Fisherman’s Wharf, taking in the stunning architecture inspired by Rome and the picturesque backdrops that made for perfect photo opportunities.

To end our day, we visited some of Macau’s most luxurious hotels: The Londoner, The Parisian, and The Venetian. Though we only had a brief glimpse of Macau, each stop offered a beautiful experience, and we left with wonderful memories of the city’s charm and elegance.

As we returned to our hotel earlier than usual, we had the chance to explore the area around it, including shopping at its own mall and the connected shopping complex.

DAY 5

We visited the serene and tranquil Tsz Shan Monastery, a place that truly embodies peace and calm. Located in a picturesque spot, the monastery is surprisingly easy to reach, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Although you must book your visit in advance, entry is completely free—a wonderful gift for those seeking a quiet retreat.

As we explore, we are completely mesmerized by the beauty of the monastery’s surroundings and architecture. The peaceful atmosphere invites reflection, and the stunning views add to the sense of serenity. We also had the opportunity to visit the museum, which showcases the monastery’s history and culture. For a fun and unique touch, there’s even a stamp station, allowing visitors to collect memorable stamps as a keepsake of their visit.

The calm and spiritual energy here is truly special, and we’re grateful for the chance to experience it.

From there, we headed to the city for an afternoon of exploration. Our first stop was the K11 Musea Mall, where you can find well-known brands to high-end luxury labels, before making our way to the Avenue of Stars. Then enjoyed a stunning view of Victoria Harbour—truly a sight to behold.

We also visited the Hong Kong Cultural Center, Hong Kong Space Museum, and Hong Kong Museum of Art. We took our time wandering around, soaking in the culture, and blending in with the locals.

Once we wrapped up our museum visits, we decided to return to the hotel to relax. However, knowing this was our last chance to shop, we couldn’t resist exploring a few nearby malls, including Citywalk Plaza. After a bit of shopping, we called it a day, ready to rest before tomorrow’s flight.

DAY 6

On our last day of the trip, we were fortunate that our hotel was connected to the bus terminal, making it easy for us to catch the first bus at 6:30 am to the airport. With our flight scheduled for 10:00 am, we had plenty of time to get there comfortably.

Throughout our days in Hong Kong, we found ourselves eating everywhere we could. The malls and hotels were filled with food courts offering a wide variety of cuisines, making it easy to try something new at every meal. We also enjoyed the convenience of being close to popular fast food chains like McDonald’s, KFC, Five Guys, and more, that made our stay comfortable.

Did I mention that the hotel is also connected to the MTR station? This made getting from one place to another incredibly easy. Sure, there were plenty of walks, and it could get tiring, but every step was worth it for the memories we made. The balance between compromising on some things and prioritizing what mattered most, in the end, it all turned out well.
